LA Adventures #1 - Summer Activities October 22, 2015 15:46

Fall in LA is one of our favorite seasons! The weather is still in the perfect mid 70's warranting lots of last minute beach days, brunch dates, and hiking. Here are some of our favorite local sports during this time of year and we were wearing!

Matador State Beach

Matador State beach is a gem tucked just up the coast from downtown LA in Malibu. We threw on our favorite Savannah Shoulder Show-off Dress and hit the road. A quick turn off the 1 freeway, this spot can be easily missed, but is well worth the road trip! We love taking the back roads and drove through the back hills of Malibu to arrive at our destination. You can park right at the top of the cliffs and it is just a short hike down steep stairs and a dirt path to the beach. The best part about this hidden spot are the crazy rock formations and arches that the waves crash through before hitting the shore. If you're daring enough, your can run under them before the waves hit!

Cafe Los Feliz

If you are a foodie, this is a place you have to try! Located on Hillhurst Avenue this local cafe is a killer brunch spot. From classic breakfasts, and amazing pastries/coffee to Nutella covered waffles, the food will have you back in no time. You order at the counter and take your food outside to the European style cafe tables, which are perfect for some street style watching. You are bound to see some familiar faces (we may or may not have seen Emma Watson there the other day!). Our order recommendation is definitely the Nutella Waffle and an iced latte.

Griffith Observatory

We love looking at the city lights and admiring our local views. Griffith Observatory is one of our favorite viewpoints in LA, where you can watch the sunset or enjoy the late night lights. If you love hiking it is the perfect end point to a hike starting on Los Feliz Blvd! On November 24th they will even be having a public Star Party where you can look through a variety of their telescopes and see different stars and planets up close.

What We Wore:

Our favorite exploring outfits are easy to throw on over a swimsuit or with cute sneakers and sunnies. The perfect little dress that we wore for this full day adventure was the Cadence Cold Shoulder Dress in navy. This bohemian number shows just the right amount of skin and is perfect for the wonderful fall weather!
