On the Road Again: A Trip to Tulum May 03, 2017 17:00
Perfect tropical weather, beautiful white sand beaches, delicious local food, and a distinct bohemian style, make the town of Tulum a must visit! Read on to see what do, what to see, and what to wear while vacationing in this unique Mexican beach town!
What to Do:
Spending time in Tulum means spending many afternoons at Zamas. With the colorful tables and chairs, delicious food, and beach side lounge chairs you will never want to leave this spot. Just order a drink or their famous huevos rancheros and you can lounge all afternoon like a hotel guest!
Check out the Private Beaches South of Town
By bike or taxi you can go 20 minutes south of Tulum beach towards Sian Ka'an Nature Reserve. After you pass the stone archway there is a beach entrance just down the road. You can grab food or drink at the local beach club and the beach is almost entirely empty for miles each direction!
What to See:
The ancient Mayan ruins of Tulum are located right on the cliffs a 15 minute bike ride from town. Get there an hour or two before closing to beat the heat and the crowds. We stayed right until closing to see the beautiful sunset behind the ruins!
There are hundreds of hidden cenotes near Tulum and our local favorites are the Cenotes Dos Ojos! The best way to see the Cenotes are through a snorkel tour booked in town. They will pick you up, guide you to the cenotes, and show you just where to snorkel. The caves are filled with beautiful stalactites, fish, and sometimes even fruit bats!
What to Where:
To stay cool in the humid heat of the tropics we love the Cadence Cold Shoulder Dress in Navy! This open shoulder dress is perfect layered over a swimsuit or worn as a dress for a night out.
Pair it with a simple lace up summer sandal like this pair from Madewell for an effortless chic look!
Finish off the look with a neutral straw tote that can fit your towel, sunscreen, and a good book. All that's left to do is book your trip!

Not to mention it's walking distance to the Giant Sequoia Grove and awesome horse back riding near the river.
With a view of Morro Rock and the milky way at night, this is just the spot to sit outside and soak in the wilderness. And you can get up early to watch the sunrise over the mountains before heading to the park!
If you feel like roughing it, this is our favorite campground in Sequoia National Park. It has amazing views and is located right by the Kaweah River as well as a beautiful meadow. Also, the Giant Forest Grove is only 2 miles away! For high season make sure to make your reservations up to 6 months in advance. And because there are lots of bears, you should definitely lock up all food.

What to Wear
While you may spend most of your time in hiking clothes and your favorite flannels, it is always good to have a chic outfit packed for great photo ops! There are also a few fun restaurants on your way into the park. We love to keep it simple, especially in the summer heat, with a light flowy dress like the Olivia Open Shoulder Dress.
Instead of going with a classic sandal, we love this little blue dress with these neutral Austin booties by Steve Madden. They are chic and keep the dirt off your feet for more casual outings. (We wouldn't recommend walking the trails in these)
And you can add a neutral western fedora to complete the look and protect your face from the harsh afternoon sun! These hats are also great when you are out and about exploring.
Things to Bring
1. A map of the park (reception can be spotty and they are great to hang up for decoration once you get back)
2. A flashlight for night time exploring
3. Cleansing Face Wipes to keep your skin fresh during the day
4. A sleeping bag, sleeping mat, and tent if your camping
5. Sunscreen for protection while exploring outdoors
6. Comfortable hiking shoes
7. Easy packable food and lots of water to take on adventures
8. Warm layers for night time by the campfire and the chillier early mornings
9. Light hiking clothes to explore the Sequoia groves and meadows
10. A camera to snap shots of your favorite views
11. Sunglasses for sunny, hot days around the park
12. A blanket for lunch breaks and picnicking outside
We hope you get the chance to go out and adventure in Sequoia National Park! Be sure to share your travels with us by tagging #BaileyBlueonYou. Happy exploring!

On The Trend: The Neck Scarf June 13, 2016 16:20
We are so in love with this vintage trend! Neck scarves add the perfect touch of color and boho flare to any dress. You can tie them around your neck with a simple double knot, wrap them around your hair, and even tie them to your favorite bags. Here are a few of our current favorites and how we style them!
For a preppy spin on the classic bandana, we love this striped grey necktie. How should you tie it? Well, we like to fold it in half (into a triangle), then roll it from the wider fold side about 5 times until it is about an inch wide. Then we like to tie it in the front with a loose double knot to get a streamlined necktie look.
We like this piece paired with a simple white bohemian dress like the Cadence Cold Shoulder Dress for the perfect beachside or boating look!
Finish off the look with a brown leather lace up sandal like this pair from Topshop! You will not wanna leave this chic summery outfit behind on your next vacay.
For a softer, flowier look we love this light indigo floral neck scarf from H&M. You can casually drape it around your neck or wrap it a few times and knot the front!
This scarf pairs wonderfully with a strapless look like the Breeze By Strapless Dress in white! And a neck tie also adds a touch of warmth to a bare shoulder strapless dress.
To complete the look and dress it up a little bit we like a slightly heeled suede lace up sandal like this pair from Asos. These neutral sandals go with almost any summer dress and also are great to dress up a casual jean short!
Last but not least, you can never go wrong with a great classic bandana. This simple black and white bandana goes with so much and adds a little bit of western flare. Roll it up and tie it around your neck with a double knot in the front!
Add a simple tee dress like the Taylor Two Pocket Tee Dress and your favorite jewelry for a fun daytime summer look!
Add some nude booties like this pair from Asos and you'll be ready for a warm summer concert or casual day in town.

A pair of statement sunglasses are the perfect way to add a little 70's flare to any outfit. We especially love this tortoise and blue reflective pair from Quay. And they are under $50! Talk about love at first glance.

LA Adventures #7 : Day Trippin' to Malibu May 20, 2016 15:41
One of the best things about LA is you're just a quick road trip away from many amazing places! This weekend we packed our day bags for a quick trip up PCH to Malibu, or what locals love to call "the Boo". Filled with gorgeous coastlines, hilly hiking trails that overlook the ocean, amazing brunch and taco spots, fun surf, and beautiful sandy beaches, you can't get much better than Malibu in the summertime. Read on to hear more about what we love to do, our favorite places to eat, and what to pack and wear on a day trip to Malibu!
Where to Eat:
This wholesome delicious cafe at the end of the Malibu pier knows how to do farm to table just right. Starting out of owner Helene's backyard with cooking classes and farm dinners, the Malibu Farm Cafe embodies all that homegrown charm.
Not only are the menu items sustainable and delicious, but they are also really affordable. We are a huge fan of how this restaurant supports small local farmers and you can definitely taste the difference!
Their breakfast menu + an ocean view is one of our favorite ways to start a Saturday morning.
What to Do:
Once you have had a delicious bite to eat, head over to our favorite beach/tanning spot in Malibu, El Matador state beach. Just a short walk down the beach cliffs (just a heads up it is a little bit of a steep trek) and you come out on a gorgeous sandy beach tucked amongst the cliffs. Aside from the clear summer waters this beach has an amazing view scattered with interesting rock formations!
If you are looking for the perfect little spot to layout and enjoy a good book or relaxing with friends than this is it! And if you want to avoid paying for parking in the lot you can look for a spot on PCH, just make sure to check the signs.
This is hands down our favorite hike in Malibu! The trek is about 3.8 miles round trip and ends at a pretty waterfall surrounded by trees. If your trying to see water in the falls you have to go in really early spring or winter, but lately it has been pretty dry. The hike is definitely still worth it on low water days because you can scramble up a few levels of rocks and see out for miles! Don't worry there are some ropes to help you get back down from the heights. And the end of this hike is the perfect little spot for a picnic!

What to Wear:
A malibu beach day calls for one thing...an airy, colorful summer frock! The perfect seaside partner is the Kawai Crochet Romper. We love this summery romper with a boho bag and camel colored wood heels!
For a similar sandal we love this simple strappy pair from Nordstrom:
And for a similar bag we love this suede saddle bag from Free People!
Things to Bring:
In addition to a darling brunch outfit, you'll want to pack these things:
1. Casual hiking outfit (including some comfy sneakers)
2. Swimsuit to layout in and jump in the water if your daring
3. Your favorite sunglasses
4. Hat to shade your face from all the Malibu rays
5. Big beach blanket
6. Good Read
7. Refreshing beverage
8. Light protective sunscreen (because who wants skin damage?!)
We can't wait to get on the road! Share your summertime adventures with us by tagging #BaileyBlueonYou!
Meet the Model: Staci Pratt May 20, 2016 10:19
Meet the face of our latest Bailey Blue photo shoot, Orange County babe, Staci Pratt! On her off days you can find her working in the beauty industry, writing scripts, or traveling the world. Aside from her killer features and amazing presence on set, Staci always brings with her a contagious positive attitude. We just cannot wait to see where her career takes her. Read on to hear more about how Staci got started, some wise words she lives by, and what she does on her off days:
Where are you from and how has it influenced who you are?
I’m a born and raised Orange County, California girl. I think growing up where I did provided lots of opportunity to be involved in the arts any way I could, from acting classes to an all arts high school to LA internships.
How did you get into modeling and what is your favorite part?
I’ve modeled sporadically throughout my life. My parents actually got me into acting and singing when I was a little girl so I wouldn't be shy, and sure enough that was the springboard into a career. My favorite part about plus size modeling is being able to inspire others to love their bodies and the clothes they wear.
What are some wise words you try to live by?
“Be positive, patient and persistent, because I can and I will.” The industry requires this kind of positive thinking. It’s easy to let others influence how or what you think, so it’s really up to oneself to maintain clarity in positive thinking.
If you had to describe yourself with one song what would it be?
The song that best describes me right now is “Happy” by Pharrell Williams. It is a great reminder to stay positive and not to let others influence your attitude, and to have fun doing what you love!
What was your last big adventure and what did you take away from your experience?
My last big adventure was actually not too long ago. My boyfriend and I took a trip to Dubai! It’s always been on my bucket list as a place I’ve wanted to travel to. The biggest thing I learned was you can’t let other people's fears influence where you want to travel to in the world. A part of traveling the world is experiencing the vast cultures everywhere, and as long as you travel smart and with respect for one another, there is so much we can learn and explore.
On your days off from modeling what would we find you doing?
I’m involved with an anti-aging company called Nerium. I love working with this company because I get to do it with my mom on my days off and we have a blast! We share amazing products with people that take care of your body on the inside and out. The company was also a part of starting the Live Happy Movement which is an organization that influences and teaches people different ways to create a positive and happy environment for themselves and others!
What is your number one go to accessory right now?
My go to accessory is my classic Micheal Kors rose gold watch. I feel like I can wear it with anything and that it brings my look from “drab to fab”. It's super easy when I don’t know what else to do.
What is your favorite thing about Bailey Blue Clothing?
My favorite things about Bailey Blue Clothing are the great clothes and the fantastic people behind the brand. I love how the clothes emphasize a waist line and the material is high quality, smoothing and highlighting your curves in a positive way. Plus, the women behind the Bailey Blue brand are fantastic! Everyone is so nice and works very hard to bring a positive atmosphere to the shoot and brand. I'm so grateful and happy to be a part of it!
